Sore Throat as a COVID Symptom

Sore Throat is one of the common symptoms of COVID.

How to manage Sore Throat during COVID?

  • Gargling with Hexetidine (Bactidol) has been tested to decrease viral load in as early as 30 seconds exposure (Source: Tiong et al., 2021). Bactidol helps kill sore throat causing viruses including COVID.

  • For out of home sore throat protection, antiseptic lozenges such as dichlorobenzyl alcohol and amylmetacresol (Bactidol Extra Soothing) also works against viruses such as coronavirus (Source: BMJ, 2020).
