Treatment of pharyngitis should start from the very first day of the illness. Acute pharyngitis, if left untreated, can become chronic (sometimes even preventing the person from keeping their job).

Local treatment is the basis for treating pharyngitis. When you have a sore throat, you must gargle – this cleanses and moistens the inflamed mucous membranes of the throat. You can also use a spray, dispersible tablets.

Hexetidine (BACTIDOL®)® fights the principal cause of the sore throat in pharyngitis, namely the infection, thus enabling a rapid recovery.
